Damon is the founder of Business Air and is responsible for day-to-day management, operations, and safety. He has spent his entire career in aviation with a focus on business and market growth as well as marketing analysis, financial planning, and business development.
Formerly, he was executive vice president for Jet Associates, an international aircraft sales and leasing company. And, served as executive vice president for Midway Aviation, who specializes in the air and ground transportation of sensitive bank documents and checks. He also oversaw a wholesale distributorship for aircraft electronics and avionics test equipment in North America and Europe.
Community-minded, he was awarded “Business Man of the Year” by the Denton Area Chamber of Commerce, invited to speak at the NBAA National Convention—and in 2015 was recognized by the City of Denton and the Denton Enterprise Airport for attracting significant corporate aircraft to the area.
He holds a Science Degree in Economics from Texas A & M University, Commerce; holds a commercial pilot’s license with instrument, multi- engine and rotorcraft-helicopter ratings; and is married with two sons.
Pat started his aviation career at a Beechcraft airliner refurbishment station, and later served as a worldwide turbine engine rep on Pratt and Whitney small airliner engines. He is a prior military man, and his education is based in electronics and quality assurance.
He has spent the last 15 years in the air charter industry with personal experience on a variety of corporate aircraft including Beechcraft, Hawker, Lear, Westwind, Citation, and Gulfstream. “Patman” is also an avid motorcyclist, who spends his off duty hours “adventure touring” and as a photojournalist for an international motorcycle magazine. He believes we should provide “sound maintenance with common sense.”
Ken joined the Business Air team in July of 2016 with more than 26 years of Corporate and Military aviation experience. In July of 2017, he was promoted to Vice President of Flight Operations, where he brings unique expertise and oversight to all aspects of charter operations. His responsibilities include overseeing charter quoting, scheduling, and operations as well as gaining customer loyalty through excellent customer service.
Prior to that, he worked for the United States Army in various locations—serving in many crucial roles such as managing fleet maintenance and intelligence mission equipment modifications for DHC-7 and King Air Airborne Intelligence aircraft. He also served as the Chief Pilot responsible for oversight and management of C-12 King Air flight operations for the Defense Intelligence Agency at the US Embassy in Turkey. Ken is school trained in the maintenance and accountability of specialized ALSE (Aviation Life Support Equipment); and has instructed pilots and instructor pilots in UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, flying in combat and high-stress situations including Northern Tactical Zone of South Korea and the Demilitarized Zone.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He enjoys having almost 5000 hours of total flight time with almost 4000 PIC (Pilot-in-Command) hours to his name.
In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Judy and daughter Lauren whom all enjoy attending Dallas Cowboys football games, along with grilling and relaxing in their new North Dallas area home.
Considered a sales and contracts expert, she is well-versed in domestic and international business affairs and is known for her negotiating prowess. Her previous roles include airport lease negotiations, line maintenance and ground handling sales, and hangar lease sourcing for airlines and MRO’s (maintenance, repair and overhaul). And most recently, she led all global real estate transactions for Sabre Inc.
Valerie has her MBA in International Business and double majored in her undergraduate studies with Business and French. A part of her French major entailed a 6-month study abroad program at La Sorbonne in Paris, France. She is still fluent in French—but finds it challenging to practice it in Texas!
She is the mother of two teenagers, who keep her busy and entertained. Her son is a wrestler at Southlake Carroll, and her daughter is a lacrosse player. In her free time, she loves to remain active playing tennis, golf (or trying to golf) and working out—preferring weightlifting to cardio. She also enjoys cheering for Dallas teams and giving a secret nod to the Minnesota Twins and Vikings to remain true to her roots.
A civilian pilot for more than 35 years, Joe provides management and overall oversight for Business Air flight operations. Working alongside Chief Pilot, Ken Edmondson, Joe is actively engaged in the coordination, planning, and initiation of all flights. He also ensures flights are in compliance with both the FAA and TSA policies and procedures. Originally from New Jersey, Joe prides himself on being a problem-solver and being up for any challenge faced on a daily basis. For the last five years, his experience, leadership, and can-do attitude have contributed greatly to the company.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In his spare time, he and his wife like to travel internationally as well as to popular wineries in this country. Having social gatherings in their home and spending as much time outdoors as possible are other favorites.
Rene considers herself a numbers geek who finds the aviation industry fascinating! With more than 25 years of experience in industries such as Telecommunications, Advertising/Marketing and Professional Staffing, she has a sophisticated grasp on theoretical aspects of accounting. But, her real passion comes from applying her acquired knowledge and providing information that assists in strategic decision-making.
Prior to joining Business Air, she was Controller for a Staffing Agency where she managed accounting functions for 11 entities. She was also Controller and CFO for an Advertising Agency where she managed all accounting and operations. Plus, she owned her own accounting business where she served 15 small businesses and high-wealth individuals.
As a native Texan, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and resides in Frisco, TX. She enjoys being a devoted parent to a son, who could be a professional Xbox player and a daughter, who is attending college and following Mom’s footsteps by pursing an accounting degree. She also enjoys her purring fur-babies and loves the Dallas Cowboys—and could eat Mexican food daily!
With more than 28 years of experience in aviation and customer service, Ginger manages the entire Pacific Northwest operation for Business Air (including Seattle and Bend). She seamlessly oversees the details for each charter flight while also offering her expertise in aircraft management—and guiding owners through acquisition, ownership, maintenance and beyond. As an expert in her field, Ginger takes pride in exceeding the expectations of each client.
When asked what she loves most about her job, she says “it’s working with our customers and taking care of all the details. Whether it’s helping to coordinate travel for a wedding party, a special anniversary, or ensuring a complicated business trip goes as planned, my job is a different adventure everyday—and I love that.”
In 2011, Renee began her career with Business Air. What began as a part-time position as a Customer Service Rep during college, quickly turned into a passion for aviation. After graduating from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and major in Marketing, she was fortunate to land jobs and gain greater experience in aviation including two-plus years with Business Jet Access at Dallas Love Field. In 2016, Renee did a full-circle and accepted a Charter Sales and Flight Coordinator position with Business Air.
In her personal time, Renee enjoys the Texas Rangers and country music (as all Texas ladies should); plus, spending time on the lake with her husband and playing outside with her pets.
Offering 20+ years in aviation and customer service, Nicole joined the Business Air team in 2017 as Fight Coordinator. Her primary responsibilities include scheduling and assisting charter customers with all their fight needs.
Her aviation journey began 22 years ago as a flight attendant with American Eagle and Flexjet. After which, she spent years supporting a Part 142 Aviation School in admissions and sales for the B737 type rating program as well as the dispatch program. During this same time, she also worked as a customer service representative for Texas Jet and Jet Aviation.
In her personal time, she enjoys playing golf and sailing with her husband of 12 years and her 11-year-old son.
Emily’s passion for building trust and connecting with people has spanned her diverse career in aviation. Working at Boeing Field since 2007, she began in piston aircraft sales and spent an exciting year with a flight training department. After migrating to aircraft charter and business aviation, she knew she had found her niche. The people she’s met and relationships that she has established are her favorite part of each day.
Pro-active service, industry knowledge, and good old-fashioned integrity guide her and she says “I love having a client return to fly with us not just because they have to get somewhere, but because they know us and know the pilots who will get them to their destinations safely every time. I’m proud to be part of that special relationship.”
Emily graduated with Honors from the University of Puget Sound and is originally from Colorado. She serves on the PNBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Board. In her off time, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband and daughter, dabbles in running, and loves trying new fare from around the Pacific Northwest.
